Your period is late
If your period is late, you automatically think of pregnancy; especially if you are trying for a baby. If in doubt, the Predictor Pregnancy Test can provide you with the answer. Simple, accurate and reliable, Predictor answers your question: pregnant or not?
Have you just stopped taking the pill?
If you have just stopped taking the pill, it may take a while before your cycle gets back to normal. If your period is late, it is difficult to say whether this is due to an irregular cycle or pregnancy. If you think that you are more than three weeks pregnant, a Predictor test can be useful because the level of hCG will be sufficient to be detected by Predictor.
After a pregnancy
After giving birth, if suspect you are pregnant again, wait three weeks before doing a Predictor test. Three weeks after giving birth, the pregnancy hormone hCG is totally eliminated from your body. If you think you are more than three weeks pregnant and the test is positive, you are expecting another child.
You are still taking the pill
Taking the pill has no effect on the reliability of Predictor. If you are still taking the pill and you think you might be pregnant, it is difficult to define at which moment you should take the Predictor test. “Normally”, during the week you stop taking the pill, your period arrives. Therefore, it is not easy to determine how many days late you are. If you think you are more than three weeks pregnant, take a Predictor test because the level of hCG in your body will be sufficient to be detected by Predictor.
Tests taken during the menstrual period are likely to give an unreliable result. It is therefore preferable to wait until the end of your period.
Breastfeeding
If you are breastfeeding your child, you will not have a period but you are nevertheless fertile. You have a 2 % chance of getting pregnant. However, it is difficult to determine how late you are if your cycle is not regular. If you think you are more than three weeks pregnant, take a Predictor test.
