What to do in case of fever?

Actions to be taken

  • Make sure the sick person is suitably hydrated: make him/her drink as often as possible, more than usual.
  • Cover him/her well (especially infants) to avoid shivering, but not excessively so as to let body heat escape. Monitor constantly.
  • Keep the room temperature between 21°C and 23°C.
  • Administer medication taking all the necessary precautions (see “Which medication to use in the case of fever?”)

  • Ask your doctor of pharmacist for advice.

  • Always read the labels carefully and administer all medicines in accordance with the instructions.

  • Keep an eye out for any side effects and inform your doctor or pharmacist if necessary.
